A Gift from the WSJ
Via the Mises Blog, a link to a WSJ editorial that gives Ludwig von Mises credit for giving economic basis to the idea that interventionist governments will invariably become corrupt. Nice!
The editorial also quotes James Madison on the same issue, which ought to have resonance for supporters of the present administration. But no, they keep padding Medicare and awarding endless military contracts and patting themselves on the back for their "patriotism..."

A nice quote from the WSJ editorial (a paraphrase of a von Mises quote): "In other words, buying influence is normal when influence has a cash value."
