Real Multiculturalism for a Change

Via Samizdata - Australia's "multicultural spokesman" Andrew Robb told muslim leaders that they need to do more to publicly condemn terrorism.

Whatever one thinks about the fairness of making Muslim leaders responsible for condemning terrorist acts, this is welcome news for the simple reason that Mr. Robb is the government's multicultural spokesman. This has got to be the first time in history that any multicultural officer actually assigned some blame and/or responsibility of any kind to a minority group. Generally speaking, such a person's duties include: making apologies for minority groups and finding new ways to blame the (designated) majority for their problems, STOP. I'm glad to see that there is at least one person in the world holding this ridiculous office that has some concept of a two-way street in minority-majority relations. Good on him! (Now find me one in America...)
